The human apes are just robots, just like all the biochemical machines invented by sexual and natural selection since the beginning of life… and every human machine is consisting of hardware and software like any other robot. The hardware is naturally (blindly) being manufactured in the mother’s womb by the fertilizing of the ovum robot by the sperm robot, to form a new robot with a chaotic combination of a gene code from the mother and the father. These genes are not only determining all the physical characteristics, capabilities, disabilities and the expiring age of the robot, but also the basic biological programming that controls the human behavior… which we call the animal instincts (like ROM in computers). After birth every human robot gets an upgrade from its natural and social environment, psychological programming and cultural programming… which define the entity’s personality and mentality.
- Animality (ID): a biological programming by binary values (pleasure and pain), submitting to the “Natural Selection” authority… serving the survival of genes (vertical level). This programming comes with the genes, very hard to modify without biochemical medications or surgical treatments.
- Personality (Ego): a psychological programming by binary values (superiority and inferiority), submitting to the “Sexual Selection” authority… serving the spread of genes (horizontal level). This programming begins since the formation of the human robot and never ends until it’s expired, it’s probably programmed by the social interactions with other people and partly with the natural environment itself.
- Mentality (Super Ego): a cultural programming by binary values (true and false), submitting to the “Cultural Selection” authority… serving the survival and the spread of memes. This programming represents all the knowledge and all the thoughts we use, either true or false… and we have three different programmers here: society, environment and personality (ego).
We are all biologically programmed to fulfill certain tasks, psychologically programmed to fulfill certain tasks and culturally programmed to fulfill certain tasks. Even every single code could be very devastated or very neat, but mainly these three different codes are conflicting and opposing each other all the time… and the strongest and the least bugged programming dominates the other programming. Of course there is no free will according to this description, we are robots like any other robots… acting and responding according to our software and hardware no more.
Although most of the human machines don’t accept these facts, they feel like humiliated or something… so their psychological programming made them invent a culture denying these facts as a “psychological defense mechanism”. People made up a myth about a mysterious “Secret Ingredient”, a magically guarded component of the human product to guarantee that humans are genuine and unable to be full measured or decoded or hacked or copied or upgraded. They call this “secret” ingredient a “soul” or a “spirit” in every human language, it’s a fake notion of course to make an illusion of immunity… we are getting measured, decoded, hacked, copied and upgraded all the time. The human robots like to talk about how deep, complicated, mysterious, magical and magnificent they are… and how they are different and special (original) justified by this fake notion of the very important secret ingredient (the soul).
And the very design of our hardware is also dumb and inefficient, because the designer is not conscious or aware of what is going on… so most of our design has no function at all. The human vestigiality involves traits (such as organs or behaviors) occurring in humans that have lost all or most of their original function through evolution, and the examples of human vestigiality are numerous… including the anatomical (such as the human appendix, tailbone, wisdom teeth, and inside corner of the eye), the behavioral (goose bumps and palmar grasp reflex), sensory (decreased olfaction), and molecular (noncoding DNA). Over 98% of the human genome is junk (noncoding DNA) with no function at all (while only about 2% of a typical bacterial genome is noncoding DNA)… we humans are mainly junk by our basic design!
The reason behind that inefficient genes or the vestigial organs and behaviors is the long journey through chaotic mutation (evolution) that modern human robots have passed, we have changed a lot through generations since the beginning of life. We are now primates, but we were amphibians, we were fish for millions of years and we were a lot of things through millions of generations… every single generation can be considered a distinct species somehow. And there is no decent programmer debugging our gene code or our biological programming every upgrade in hardware or software, nature always lets the nasty gene codes decomposed in the ecosystem, and lets the passable gene codes continue… as we call it natural selection. But this mechanism is not efficient like intelligent upgrading and debugging, because as we know, not every working program is an effective program… programming needs intelligence and “Evolution” is not an “intelligent designer”.
Not to mention the primitive design of the human machines (regardless the bugs in programming), as we can notice we have a very limited expiring age… and very limited physical and processing capabilities. The stupid nature can’t debug or upgrade the genes or the biological programming, and it can’t even design decent machines because it don’t learn from its mistakes… after 4 billion years of trial and error that’s all we have got. Apparently the trial and error method can’t educate the stupid, the fool would repeat its mistakes over and over and over again for eternity… if nature was a fresh graduate engineer from 4 billion years… life would be radically different by now. But the accumulation of knowledge produced by the trial and error method needs a memory and processing capability, and of course a purpose, a reason for why are you manufacturing what you are manufacturing, something to drive you having values, putting standards, principles, plans and strategies… something that compels you to supervise your acting and making, to revise, improve and accumulate accomplishments.
The system that can exist lasts and the system that can’t exist fail spontaneously, but just existing don’t mean that the machine is better designed than the failed machines! The great dinosaurs have got extinct while viruses, bacteria and insects are dominating the planet and have dominated since the beginning of life. Natural selection has no standards for losing designs except system failure, even if the system only needs a little modification to be a good system… or have failed because of a stupid rare accident not because a bad programming. Something like a virus can hardly be considered alive, it can’t even activate without a host and yet it reproduces like fire… indeed the most successful species in spite of the simple design and the simple programming.
If a trait or a mutation were not lethal or have made the biochemical machine less competitive in natural or sexual selection they just get stuck with the trait, is that smart?! By every new generation we drop the usage of some genes and organs but we hold them anyway… so maybe we shall mutate and evolve without the natural supervision at all! May be we shall design the “Human v2.0”, free from natural selection and sexual selection, can last much longer that any natural designed machine, and much more capable than the natural us… physically and computationally. Artificial Intelligence when (not if) finished would not be just a computer or a piece of high tech weaponry, it would be a human being also… except it would be very much smarter and better designed than all human beings.
